The band is led by Julie Poncé on bass and vocals with a line up of
top Chicago-based musicians making her sound a must-hear at festivals and
concerts around the world. Her CD has gotten rave reviews internationally
and is now being produced in the States. This group is booked as a quintet
and can also be presented as a trio or quartet.
After traveling the world performing her music, Julie Poncé now makes
her home in the Chicago land area. Julie Poncé has worked and headlined
with Chet Baker, Stan Getz, Joe Farrell, Ira Sullivan, Bobby Enriquez, Richie
Cole, Eddie Palmieri, Chuchito Valdes Jr., B.B. King, Lou Rawls, Al Green,
Jackie Wilson, Wil Crosby, Pete Fountain, Maynard Ferguson, Buddy Rich, Lionel
Hampton, The Warren Covington Tommy Dorsey Band and many more.
Julie Poncé has been a featured performer and side man at some of the
top Jazz, Blues and World Music Festivals internationally in Austria, Belgium,
Canada, throughout the Caribbean, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Ireland,
Italy, Japan, Latin & Central America, Mexico, The Netherlands, Poland,
Spain, Singapore, The Former Soviet Union, Thailand, Trinidad, and throughout
The United States.
